The Library is pleased to announce that masks and proof of vaccination will no longer be a condition of entry to our Libraries from 15 December 2021. We ask that you continue to use the Service NSW check in for our ongoing safety. The Library will be closed from 24 December 2021 to 3 January 2022 and we wish you a safe holiday season.

Summer is here and our libraries across the Shire are running a full program of great holiday activities. The program inlcudes a Summer Reading Club for kids and adults, Book Bingo Challenge, author events and plenty of fun Literacy, STEM and Art activities for kids.There is something for everyone this  Summer at the Library.

In line with the NSW Government’s Roadmap / Public Health Order from Monday 11th October 2021 all visitors (aged 16+) to the Library are required to provide proof of COVID19 vaccination upon entry. Unvaccinated children under 16 must be accompanied by a vaccinated member of their household. If you are not vaccinated and wish to access items from the Library collection, please phone 6499 2127 and discuss with Library staff.

Good news! Bermagui, Bega and Tura Marrang libraries will OPEN on Monday 20 Sept at 10am. Eden Library will open Tuesday 21 Sept at 10am. Masks are required to be worn in all of the Bega Valley Shire Libraries and QR codes are avaliable at all Library entrances to facilitate contact tracing. CBCA Book Week Compeition Winners:  A big round of applause to all the participants in our Book Week ‘Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds’ competition. We had over one hundred entries over three year categories. What a fantastic result! Take a look at our   competition winners.

Bega Valley Shire Library is offering a library delivery service in response to the extended lockdown period. Library users can choose books and other library materials for themselves and their family through the online catalogue for free delivery to their home or the nearest hub, such as a post office or general store.  Click  here  to find out more.
