Sensitive Storytime

Bega Valley Shire Library is seeking input into inclusive practices in our early childhood programs. We are planning to pilot ‘Sensitive Storytime’ sessions at Bega Library for children with autism and other sensory processing disorders. We want to ensure the benefits of these programs are accessible to ALL children in our community. The Bega Valley Shire Library app is live and available for download now, with features designed to make it easier to access your library’s existing services. Bega Valley Shire Council’s Systems and Collections Librarian, Suzannah van den Haak said the app lets you search the library collection, access your member account, check your loans and find eResources anytime and anywhere. “We are excited to officially launch the app after trialling with our Library volunteer groups and staff,” Ms van den Haak said. “We encourage Library members to download the app and familiarise themselves with all the exciting features. “You can use the app to find your nearest library and it’s opening hours, search the catalogue, browse new releases, reserve and renew items, find out what’s on at your library, link family accounts and use a digital library card. “The app also lets you to discover other great apps to stream movies and borrow eResources and magazines. “We hope our members find the app fun and...

Law Week Seminar @ Tura Marrang Library

We will be streaming a seminar from Legal Aid NSW to Tura Marrang Library. Councillors to meet with community at local events in May

Councillors and senior Council staff will be at local markets and community days in May to gather feedback on the future plans prepared for the shire. Mayor Russell Fitzpatrick said Councillors were keen to meet and chat to as many members of the community as possible next month. “We’re going where the action is.
