Bega Valley Shire libraries  will be closed from  Friday 29 March to  Tuesday 2 April 2024.  Bega, Tura Marrang, and Eden libraries  will reopen on  Wednesday 3 April at 10am.  Bermagui Library will  reopen on  Thursday 4 April at 10am. We are running a variety of events for all ages this Autumn and plenty of activites in the school holidays. Events for adults and children, with author talks, crafts, and workshops. To celebrate the Seniors Festival, we have interviews with Citizen of the Year recipients and a road safety workshop. Bega Valley Shire Library advises the community that the library returns bin located outside the Bega Valley Regional Learning Centre (BVRLC) at 14 Cabarita Place, Merimbula will be removed from Monday 23 January. Council’s Library Services Coordinator, Yvette Parker said as the BVRLC is for sale, it’s time to relocate the bin. “This returns bin gets very little use as most customers borrow and return their library resources to our physical libraries at Tura Marrang or Eden,” Ms Parker said. “We ask those few customers that have used the Learning Centre bin in the past to instead visit the Tura Marrang or Eden library. “If you are worried about your library items being overdue, you can renew them online or by phoning Tura Marrang Library on (02) 6499 2340. “The returns bin will be re-used, replacing the after-hours bin at Eden Library which is due for replacement.”
