Fiona McArthur Author Event

Join best-selling Australian rural romance author Fiona McArthur as she speaks at Bega & Bermagui libraries about her new rural romance Back to Birdsville.

Set in one of Australia’s most remote communities Fiona’s latest book follows a midwife and emergency nurse who is called back to the tight-knit community she grew up in for her cousin’s wedding, forced to reconnect with the people she left behind and confront the secrets that have long stayed locked away. Amidst the backdrop of the famous Birdsville races, this uniquely Australian romance celebrates the resilience of remote families, women who are always there for each other and the men that stand by their side, painting a vivid picture of a place where community spirit thrives against all odds.

Drawing from her earlier life as a rural midwife, Fiona McArthur shares her love of working with women, families and health professionals in her books. In her compassionate, pacey fiction, her love of the Australian landscape meshes beautifully with warm, funny, multigenerational characters as she highlights challenges for rural and remote families and the strength shared between women.

During the event, Fiona will share insight into her writing, answer your questions and sign copies of her book.

Whether you are a long-time fan or new to her work this promises to be an engaging and memorable experience.
